Fees and Payments

Please remember when considering these fees, that all teachers at Barnes Music are professional musicians who have received professional training. You will receive a high quality of music tuition that is not available at some other local music schools.

Lesson fees are as follows:

- $42/half-hour lesson
- $84/hour lesson.
A group lesson price can be negotiated, dependent on the size of the group.

Students are asked to pay by EFT unless they have asked for special consideration.

Students are invoiced per term and asked to commit to a term's worth of lessons at a time (10).

New students are given the option of coming for a one (1) lesson trial. The student pays for this lesson like a normal lesson and decides at the end of the lesson if they will commit to the remainder of the term’s lessons.

Students are invoiced at the start of each term for the whole term’s lessons. Students/parents are encouraged to pay the full invoice in one EFT payment. If this is not possible they are asked to notify Barnes Music and they have the option of paying in 5 lesson increments, or 2 lesson increments (but it must be 2 lessons IN ADVANCE).

Lesson fees will not be deducted from the term’s invoice because a student was ill or unable to make their lesson. The full amount must be paid.

Missed lessons may be ‘made up’ at a convenient time for the student and teacher, if the teacher is able to fit this into their schedule.
